Step 1: 14 = 2 ´ 7  36 = 2 ´ 2 ´ 3 ´ 3     [Write the prime factors of 14 and 36.]

Step 2: Represent all the prime factors of 14 and 36 in a Venn diagram. 

                                 

Step 3: 7 ´ 2 ´ 3 ´ 3 ´ 2 = 252  [Multiply all the factors in the Venn diagram.]

Step 4: The LCM of 14 and 36 is 252.
